Hi John,

It was just over one week ago when we saw the disaster unfold in Georgia’s elections with people waiting in line to vote for three, four, even five hours.

How does the state’s top election official respond? By refusing to send absentee ballot applications to voters for the general election -- creating one more barrier for Georgians to vote-by-mail.

With election officials hanging voters out to dry, our grassroots movement to send mail-in ballot applications to voters is critical. Please donate so we can reach more voters and ensure our health and democracy are protected. [[link removed]]

This is exactly what we have been worried about for months and why we started Vote From Home 2020: Republicans and elected officials sitting on their hands and providing voters with little to no support when it comes to vote-by-mail ahead of the general election. Creating barriers to vote-by-mail is how they’re planning to re-elect Trump. It’s disheartening but not surprising and exactly why we need to start mobilizing our movement now.

Vote From Home 2020 is sending mail-in ballot applications -- with return postage -- to voters, so that they can easily request a mail-in ballot for the general election.

Voters’ health and our democracy depend on making it easier to vote-by-mail. We don’t want a repeat of what happened just last week in Georgia.

Contribute now to help make it easier for Americans to vote-by-mail. It doesn’t matter where you live in the country, take action to ensure people can vote safely in the general election. [[link removed]]

I'm discouraged by the response from Georgia’s Secretary of State. We have a lot of work to do in the next few months to ensure the vote is protected.

Thanks for being in this fight.

------------
Vote From Home 2020 is a grassroots movement that's making vote by mail more accessible. With a $25 donation, we'll send vote by mail applications to 20 voters. COVID-19 has brought America to a halt, and with it almost all in-person voter mobilization efforts. While volunteers can’t get on buses to swing states or go door-to-door right now, there is a huge opportunity for progressives, especially in solidly blue states, to get out the vote where it counts. By sending vote by mail ballots to targeted states and following up with text and calls to voters, we can ensure the 2020 general election is safe and accessible. Please forward this email if you know someone who may be interested. Our average gift is just under $25 so consider donating that today to support voting rights.
