On Thursday, I had the opportunity to speak with almost one hundred interns on Capitol Hill to share my path to public service and answer all their questions about balancing faith and family, as well as our biggest policy priorities. It's so refreshing to see so many young faces eager to change the world, and I told the students no questions were off limits. I’m also blessed that my son, Andrew, is joining me in Washington this summer and interning in another congressional office. 

Speaking of my son, Andrew, many of you have been asking for an update about his health afterour visit to the Mayo Clinic earlier this year. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. Your support and wishes mean the world to my family and me. He's doing great and is up here for the summer with me! I'll let him explain it, though.

We have two choices here: We can stick to the policies of the past four years, or we can move forward by passing 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill' to usher in the Trump policies we voted for in November. While this MAGA bill is not perfect, we can't let perfect be the enemy of good. This bill is truly historic. It cuts spending by $1.6 trillion, secures our southern border, makes the current Trump tax cuts permanent, and unleashes American energy. A lot of people have ideas on how we can make it better. THAT'S GREAT. We need it to pass, though. My Senate GOP colleagues and I will get a bill that can pass both chambers to President Trump to be signed into law. I'll break it down more in the video below.

On Tuesday, I met with the Claremore Chamber of Commerce and discussed President Trump’s ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’ and the ongoing appropriations process. While this legislation will of course benefit millions of working families across the nation, it will also benefit businesses both big and small. Making these tax cuts permanent will spur growth in the economy. With more money in pockets, Oklahomans will be spending and investing more than before.

Going from Spring to Summer in Oklahoma brings both good and terrible weather. My office is closely monitoring the tornadoes that touched down in the Oklahoma City metro area on Tuesday. Please stay safe and look after your neighbors and loved ones. I know you will all embody the Oklahoma Standard, but I'll additionally provide resources below. I'll take the president's message anywhere, anytime. Wednesday, I took it to CNN's The Source with Kaitlan Collins and broke down the specifics on the 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill,' providing President Trump with a sanctions package to combat Russia, and defended his recent travel ban against countries with which we have security concerns. President Trump is doing his job with leaders abroad. He's returned the United States to 'Peace through Strength' policies and is keeping Americans safe from those that wish us harm. It's time for Republicans at home to do our job, preventing the largest tax increase in American history and codifying his campaign promises.
