It’s been three weeks since the devastating tornado tore through St. Louis—my home. The place I was raised. And the place that’s seen far too many challenges, far too much pain.
Our community is still reeling. Entire blocks have been devastated. Thousands of families are facing the terrifying reality of losing their homes and everything along with it. And still—still—our people rise.
In the middle of the wreckage, I’ve seen our people come together, showing up with love, care, and urgency.
That’s what Movement 4 Freedom is all about. It’s about meeting our people where they are, fighting for what they need, and building something better—together.

We know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from the Cori Bush team here at Politivist. We’ve missed you.
Instead of filling up your inbox, we’ve been doing what we do best: organizing, listening, and standing with our people.
In fact, we just launched Politivist Power, a new 501(c)(4) organization uniting grassroots organizing with political strategy to fight oppression. Our first campaign, Movement 4 Freedom, is a call to radically transform the implementation of justice, safety, and liberation through love and solidarity. And right now, St. Louis needs us more than ever.
On Friday, our city was hit by a catastrophic tornado—the deadliest since 1959. Entire neighborhoods were torn apart. A reported seven lives lost. Dozens injured. And tens of thousands of homes and businesses damaged or without power. This is a crisis. Still, through the devastation, we’ve seen our community step up.
