Email from Rep. Van Duyne The House passed my bill, the American Entrepreneurs First Act of 2025! Washington, D.C. – Had a wonderful time meeting the Second Lady, Usha Vance, at the U.S. India Strategic Partnership Forum. On Tuesday, I was able to testify in the Rules Committee for three important House Small Business Committee bills, including the American Entrepreneurs First Act, my bill ensuring only qualified individuals are eligible to access Small Business Administration programs. We were able to discuss my work on Ways and Means to strengthen our relationships with our trade partners around the world. Wednesday, I was thrilled to hear Small Business Administrator Kelly Loeffler highlight the accomplishments of this SBA thus far at the House Small Business Committee Hearing. Highlights include, SBA loan approvals up 80%, loans to businesses with five or fewer employees doubled, federal contracts going to small businesses up to 23% from 18% in January.
