John, when I see a problem, I don't pass the buck. I step up, and I get to work.
In 2018, I ran for Congress in part because Donald Trump and my Republican representative attempted to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which would've eliminated protections for Virginians with pre-existing conditions and healthcare coverage for hundreds of thousands of Virginians. Now, Glenn Youngkin is blessing Republicans' budget bill that puts Medicaid on the chopping block.
I couldn't sit on the sidelines then, and I won't today.
Not when my opponent Winsome Earle-Sears is silent on Trump's attack on affordable healthcare. Not when she praises the tariffs that have sent Virginians' costs skyrocketing. And not when she threatens the right of Virginians to marry who they love and decide when they're ready to start a family.
My promise to you in this campaign is the same promise I've always made: to put Virginians first.
That's what I'm doing as I travel the Commonwealth and hear from people on these issues. But we all know the best way to tackle problems is not alone — it's as a team.
John, I'm asking you to contribute to our campaign today. In a close race, a race that could become the most expensive in Virginia's history, every dollar is appreciated.
