Last week, President Trump signed a slew of get-out-of-jail-free pardons for his supporters. He made it clear: if you’re rich, famous, and loyal to him, justice is for sale. 
 
Add it to the list of his egregious abuses of power. 

I’ve introduced a constitutional amendment that makes it clear, no one, especially the president, is above the law. Presidents are not monarchs, they are not tyrants, and they shall not be above the law.

These cuts strike at the heart of what makes us strong: our investment in people—which allow us to be a leader in the world in science and innovation and support hardworking Americans just trying to make ends meet. 

I won’t stop fighting to support the programs and resources our community relies on.

This week, I had the honor of recognizing the retirement of the President of the Rochester Institute of Technology, Dr. David Munson Jr.  
 
Under his leadership, RIT soared into the Top 100 National Universities, and he guided over $500 million in capital projects that have reimagined the student experience. I’m grateful for his friendship and his belief in the limitless potential of students and scholars alike.
