Anti-abortion extremists are losing when it comes to the elections. They know they can't win over voters.

They lose in the court of public opinion, so they run to the one place they've worked decades towards ensuring they have power: the courts.

This summer, we will be tracking several high stakes Supreme Court decisions that could have dangerous implications for our rights. These legal attacks aren't just about abortion—they threaten LGBTQ+ care, birth control, cancer screenings, and access to essential reproductive health services.

📍 Kennedy v. Braidwood

This case could allow insurers to impose costs on or fully drop coverage of preventative care , like birth control, PrEP, and cancer screenings. The Affordable Care Act currently requires that insurance covers preventative care. If coverage is taken away, the ripple effects on health equity will be devastating.

📍 Medina v. PPSAT

This case could open the door for the Supreme Court to allow states to defund Planned Parenthood and other health care providers that provide abortions in addition to other critical health care services. This is yet another backdoor attempt to strip people of their power and bodily autonomy.

These cases are major—and they're exactly why our work can't stop with Congress or elections. We must also fight back in the courts, in the states, and on the ground.
