 John, The Rim of the Valley includes some of Los Angeles’ most iconic natural treasures. And with those resources, comes the responsibility to protect them. That’s why I’m proud to have introduced legislation with Senator Adam Schiff to protect our parkland, and improve access for local communities. Not only will this legislation provide local communities with better ways to enjoy our beautiful public lands, but it ensures that we protect the natural resources and wildlife that call the Rim of the Valley home.
I will fight to keep the Rim of the Valley thriving for years to come. But as encouraged as I am by this, it is just one important step among many that we must continue to take for the environmental health of our region. As your Assemblymember, I drafted first-in-the-nation, comprehensive legislation to address our climate. And I’m continuing that fight every day in Washington to drag my colleagues in Congress to that same standard. More soon, Laura
