Creative Growth Grants Deadline: August 4

We are excited to announce the Creative Growth Grants — the city's latest wave of support for Charlotte's creative community. The application doesn't open until June 19, but potential applicants could review the guidelines, sample application questions, and key dates. Information is available online at cltgov.me/CGG. This grant is administered by Charlotte Is Creative.

Funding is intended to support artistic and cultural initiatives that foster community engagement, promote diversity, and create lasting impact. This fund offers three streams of funding, bringing the work of the recent Arts and Culture Plan to life in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. These include:
* Operational Fund Grants for grassroots arts and culture nonprofits.
* Project Support Grants for grassroots arts and culture nonprofits and individual creatives.
* Professional Development Grants for grassroots arts and culture nonprofits and individual creatives.

Individual artists and creative groups must apply with a fiscal sponsor and reside in Mecklenburg County. Grassroots arts and culture organizations must provide proof of 501(c)(3) certification and be located in Mecklenburg County. To best support our creative community, there will be an information session, Q&A opportunities, and grant writing workshops.
* June 19, noon: Application Opens and Virtual Info Session.
* June 27, noon to 12:30 p.m.: Virtual Q&A Opportunity.
* July 8, noon to 12:30 p.m.: Virtual Q&A Opportunity.
* July 14, 6-9 p.m.: In-person Grant Writing Workshop at Independent Picture House.
* July 16, 6-8 p.m.: Virtual Grant Writing Workshop.
* August 4, 5 p.m.: Application Deadline.
