I've had Republicans say a lot about me over the years, and over the last couple of election cycles, it's only gotten worse. But last week, they stooped to new lows, putting dark money behind an ad that claimed I voted to cut Medicare and Social Security.
The audacity to do this shortly after House Republicans forced through their budget for billionaires that cut healthcare and food for working families and seniors, stripping coverage from roughly 40,00 people across Northwest Ohio.
Let me be clear, team: I will always protect Social Security and Medicare.
And while these ads are frustrating, they don't scare me. They embolden our team and the work we do. They show that our opponents have nothing to come after us with other than lies and deceit.
