Hi John, it’s Jackie! I’m writing to you on Gun Violence Awareness Day with an important (and quick!) action you can take to support March For Our Lives in our fight.
Gun violence is the #1 cause of death for young people in the country.
It’s no exaggeration to say this is a matter of life and death. The far-right, gun lobby, and their Death Dealers are attempting to cling to power by any means.
We can’t stand by as the far-right and gun lobby attacks our progress on gun safety in the courts, school boards, and executive actions.
March For Our Lives and all the young people who are part of our movement are fighting back. Young people have proved that not only can we win — we can govern.
We showed up in the streets and at the ballot boxes in record numbers every election cycle since the first march in 2018. We’ve passed 300+ gun safety laws across the country.
And that’s just the start. Our progress may be under threat but we’re not backing down.
