FORCING AFGHANS OUT OF THE UNITED STATES PLACES THEM IN GRAVE DANGER 

Many Afghans sought refuge in the United States after becoming targets with the return of the Taliban in 2021. Their supposed “crime”: their work with Americans in pursuit of a better future for their country.

Ending Afghans’ Temporary Protected Status (TPS) in the United States and forcing them to return to live under the Taliban’s brutal rule would endanger their freedom, even their lives, write Bush Institute Director of Global Policy Natalie Gonnella-Platts and Fellow Jessica Ludwig wrote in the National Interest.
