Everyone wants to be loved, but it’s hard to put yourself out there. And breakups can get messy, especially when you try and post through it on social media. This week, Autocracy’s It Couple, Don and Elon, called it quits — and in spectacular fashion. Here’s a timeline of their romance gone wrong: Friday, May 30, 2025: Trump gifts Elon Musk a gold White House key for his “service” as a special government employee. The key opens nothing, but the symbolism screams, “America is for sale.” Tuesday, June 3, 2025: Musk can’t hold back his thoughts on Trump’s budget bill, and starts the storm: Wednesday, June 4, 2025: Musk starts a barrage of tweets about his big feelings about the bill. Thursday, June 5, 2025: Musk is probably up all night, stewing about it all … 12:00 PM: Musk reposts old tweets from Trump that show his “Big Beautiful Bill” conflicts with the President’s statements in the past about raising the debt ceiling. 2:00 PM: Musk amps it up and tweets that Trump would’ve lost the election if it weren’t for his help and money. He says Trump is ungrateful. 3:00 PM: Trump responds in an Oval Office meeting that would’ve won anyways. He says Musk had a lot of time to read the bill and accuses him of being salty that EV mandates were left out, being “hostile” and having “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” Musk retorts: 3:30 PM: Trump says that Elon Musk was “wearing thin” and “went CRAZY!” 4:00 PM: Musk claps back with a low blow and reposts a video of Trump & Jeffrey Epstein partying down together. Trump responds on Truth Social, and threatens to terminate Musk’s government subsidies. Musk responds with a threat of his own: Then Elon retweets a post calling for the impeachment of Trump: 4:30 PM: Trump says that he doesn’t know if he and Musk will have a relationship anymore. Now we’re all left wondering … who gets the kids in the divorce? You’re currently a free subscriber to Lincoln Square Media.
