Hi friend, There’s a budget proposal moving through Congress right now that every American should know about.
If it becomes law, millions of children and families will be left behind — not for lack of resources or solutions, but because too many in government are ignoring the needs of American families.
This bill would gut health care coverage, put food assistance out of reach for struggling families, defund clinics that provide essential health care to women, and eliminate tax credits that help parents stay afloat. It even bans states from regulating artificial intelligence for the next ten years, tying their hands when it comes to protecting kids from the risks of emerging technology.
In short: it abandons the very people who most need support.
At the Clinton Foundation, we envision a very different future. We believe that smart, compassionate programs can change lives, and that when we put children and families first, we all do better.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll share stories and strategies from our work that prove that supporting families strengthens our country. Our approach is grounded in evidence, shaped by experience, and driven by results. You’ll hear about:
|
- A budget signed by my husband that proved we can be fiscally responsible while lifting up families;
-
A decade of measurable impact from Too Small to Fail, a program that provides parents and caregivers with the resources they need; and,
- What it means to keep fighting for women’s rights, and improving access to health care, even in the face of devastating setbacks.
