We’re already seeing the real impact Trump’s DOGE cuts are making on Colorado’s families. See for yourself:

CO Sun: Colorado schools, producers brace for termination of LFS program

The Trump administration axed the USDA Local Food for Schools program that helped Colorado’s schools serve thousands of kids healthy meals from local farms, leaving school districts throughout the state scrambling to make up the difference.

That’s millions of dollars of funding for school meals — and Colorado’s farmers — all up in smoke.

Their reasoning? The program “no longer effectuates agency priorities.”

Let’s be clear: Keeping kids fed and focused on learning will always be one of our top priorities. And delivering healthy food to our children while supporting local farmers is a win-win!

We can’t sit by and let Trump get away with this senseless attack on Colorado’s children and local farmers’ livelihoods — and we're calling on this grassroots team to amplify our message: Please, if you’re with us, add your name to our petition calling on Trump to reverse these cruel cuts NOW and reinstate LFS funding to feed Colorado’s schoolchildren. →
