With less than two months until the primary election, Team Hayes continues to grow!!

I am honored to receive the support of a number of incredible organizations. I look forward to continuing to work beside them to fight for a better future.

John: Let’s finish what we started.

• Let’s close gun safety loopholes. The House heard gun safety legislation for the first time in 20 years during my first Congressional term. That doesn’t happen by accident – representation matters. I’m thankful to Brady PAC and Giffords PAC, two outstanding gun violence prevention organizations, for their support of my campaign.
   
• I was a part of the historic 2018 freshman class, which welcomed the most EVER women to the House. I want to thank the National Women's Political Caucus for their confidence in me and look forward to more women joining our ranks in 2020.
   
• I am an educator, and I bring that classroom experience with me to Washington every single day. I want to give a huge THANK YOU to the Connecticut Education Association and all my Connecticut friends in education. I appreciate you every day, but I am especially grateful to you for your continued dedication to our students in the virtual world. Thank you for always supporting me!
   
• I want to thank the College Democrats of Connecticut for all their work and their support. These kids are our future and I am so happy they are engaged.
   
• My commitment to protecting our environment has been recognized by the Sierra Club. I am looking forward to continuing the work to help save our planet and defend our children’s right to clean air and a livable environment.
   
• Last year, the House made history by passing the Equality Act, legislation that would finally guarantee explicit protections for LGBTQ people under our nation's existing civil rights laws. I’m proud to be endorsed by the Human Rights Campaign – let’s finish what we started and pass a comprehensive LGBTQ non-discrimination bill!
   
• Last but certainly not least, I am grateful for my friends at MoveOn. I am thankful to be fighting alongside you!
