A long-sought victory in the fight for equality.

Finally, a step in the right direction!
On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled that employment discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity is against the law.
This is a significant victory in the fight for equality. Before the ruling, it was legal in many states to fire someone for being gay or transgender.
Everyone deserves the right to work, to earn a living for themselves and their family.
As we recognize #Pride month, we must celebrate this long-sought victory.
But the fight isn't over.
In fact, just last week, the Trump administration rolled back transgender health care protections.
Meanwhile, here in Arizona's 5th district, we are represented by a man who admittedly votes based on his homophobic views. Rep. Andy Biggs will attack our LGBTQ communities every chance he gets.
That's why I am committed to the fight for equality in every way and support the Equality Act, which passed in the House a year ago.
The Equality Act would provide explicit non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people across key areas of life, including housing, health care, public services, credit and more.
Equality in every way.
In solidarity, Joan Greene
