Dear John,
If you haven’t already heard the news, the U.S. House recently passed the Reconciliation bill, which is full of cuts to vital community and environmental programs, such as Medicaid, SNAP, and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) climate investments. Can you take a moment to take action against these threatening federal cuts [[link removed]]?
Take action: [link removed]
Ultimately, this bill is a total repeal of clean energy investments. Cuts to the IRA, the largest federal investment in climate action, would gut America’s clean energy production, raise energy costs for families across the nation, and eliminate thousands of jobs. Our communities and environment can’t afford to lose IRA funding promised to them.
On top of this, cuts to lifesaving programs like Medicaid and SNAP would be detrimental to our communities. The federal government should work for us, not against us. We need to do everything in our power to stop the Reconciliation bill.
Please take action against these cuts by thanking our U.S. Senators for all that they’ve done to protect our climate and urge them to do everything in their power to remove the horrible climate cuts in the Reconciliation bill [[link removed]]!
Take action: [link removed]
Sincerely,
Britney VanCitters (she/her)
