POLITICO: Medicare is a target as Senate GOP faces megabill math issues Did you see this, John? This is outrageous. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Medicare is a promise. A promise to our seniors that after a lifetime of work, they’ll have the care they need and the dignity they deserve. Now, Republicans in the Senate want to break that promise. They’re trying to jam Donald Trump’s busted megabill through Congress — and to pay for it, they’re looking at cutting Medicare. Not because it’s good policy, and certainly not because it helps people, but because they want to hand out more favors to the wealthy and powerful by balancing the budget on the backs of our seniors. Let me be clear, John: We should all be terrified. It's not just seniors who’d be hurt — younger people with disabilities could lose care, too. The most vulnerable members of our society are the ones being put on the chopping block. Simply put, this is cowardly, cruel, and dangerous. The time to speak out is NOW. We’ve fought to protect Medicare before, and we won. But this time, the GOP is moving fast behind closed doors, trying to sneak these cuts through under our noses. That's why I’m calling on the Senate to keep their hands off Medicare, and I need you with me. Add your name next to mine by signing my petition today and tell the GOP to stand up and do the right thing for Americans…not for Donald Trump >> Thanks for always using your voice, Dwight
