Dear John,
I want to tell you about a friend that I deeply respect — Edrys Leyva. Edrys came to this country at just 12 years old, fleeing the oppression of communist Cuba with his family. He came here for the same reason millions have before him — to live free, work hard, and build something better.
And he did just that.
Edrys served in the United States Navy with honor. After leaving the military, he opened a dental practice — a small business he built from the ground up. He created jobs, served his community, and provided for his family the American way.
But even here in the land of opportunity, government overreach and bad economic policies nearly crushed everything he built.
Thanks to heavy regulations and a broken health care system pushed by politicians more interested in control than solutions, the Leyva’s family dental practice couldn’t stay afloat. He lost the business his family poured their life into.
Now Washington is at it again — proposing over a trillion dollars in new tax hikes that would hit small businesses the hardest.
This is exactly why we’re fighting for the One Big Beautiful Bill Act — because small business owners like Edrys shouldn’t be punished for working hard and doing things right. This bill will protect the prosperity of all Americans by cutting red tape, stopping reckless tax hikes, and getting government out of the way of economic growth.
Edrys now serves as our Grassroots Engagement Director here in Florida, because he knows what’s at stake — and he refuses to stay silent.
If you believe in protecting the American Dream — not taxing it into oblivion — it’s time to act now.
Join us in urging Congress to pass the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
Thank you for standing with veterans, entrepreneurs, and the future of American freedom.
For liberty,
William Huff Director of Grassroots Operations, Florida Concerned Veterans for America |
