Sister District DC Metro Area Newsletter June 2025
|
May was a great month and we have a lot more coming up in June - candidate appearances, national events, our own happy hour, and announcing our second candidate in VA!
|
Fundraising Blitz Review -- Records SMASHED!
|
Our fundraising blitz May 12-14 raised close to $14,000 to catapult Del. Joshua Cole (HD 65) out of the blocks in the race to defend his critical 51st seat in the House of Delegates! We broke DC Metro Area records across the board:
- Largest blitz total
- Highest number of individual donors
- Highest amount of donations raised by email
For a state legislative race, $14,000 is a HUGE amount, especially to collect in MAY when the long-term payoff is the greatest. THANK YOU!! And you can still donate today!

Calling all DC Metro Area Phonebankers! Join Sister District's East Coast phonebank teams from DC Metro Area, NYC, and MA-RI for a special collaborative phonebank, featuring a guest appearance from VA Delegate Joshua Cole! Monday doesn't work? We do our own local phonebanking on Thursdays at 6:30 over Zoom. No experience is necessary. Each phonebank includes training and check-ins for first-timers, while experienced callers can jump right in. Find a Thursday to join us!

Learn how we're making a difference in key VA elections in 2025, and how YOU can be part of the change! We will also be able to discuss our second candidate after they are announced the day before!
Newcomers and guests welcome! Register on Mobilize so we know you are coming!
|
We requested 3,000 postcards to support Joshua Cole and received 4,000! That leaves us with about 700 that still need to be assigned. All supplies are provided and you can write the postcards on your own time in June. Can you help us make sure all 4,000 get sent? Email us to claim your postcards!
