Bummer - The Backer Tracker
I’m back in the district after another frustrating week at the Capitol. Over the weekend, we finally closed the health and human services bill, but not without delays. For the first 23 days of session, House Democrats failed to show up while still collecting taxpayer-funded paychecks. Senate Democrats dragged their feet in negotiations, and the governor was traveling the country instead of being in Saint Paul doing the job Minnesotans elected him to do. Meanwhile, we Republicans showed up, did the work, and stayed focused on delivering results. We’re committed to putting Minnesota first and we’ll keep pushing to make sure your voice is heard and your priorities are not ignored.
