I’ll be honest, June has been a rough month for fundraising. Just take a look at these numbers my team sent me this morning —

- Our total raised for June is about 40% less than it was last month
- We’re only 36% of the way to our online email fundraising goal
- The number of people who give to emails like this has cut in half

These are our real fundraising numbers, folks. We expected the summer slump to hit us, but no one thought we’d be this far behind.

To make matters worse, right-wing groups are relentlessly attacking me. So many people — our opponent, Mitch McConnell, Donald Trump — are hoping we miss our goals this summer. If we cannot sustain our momentum, it jeopardizes our chance to win.
