Trump is down in the polls, short on legislative achievements, and starting to pine for the good ol’ days of his 2016 campaign.
But rather than improve his fortunes by being a better president, Trump has decided to double-down on scare tactics -- with POLITICO reporting that Trump’s newest strategy is to “focus on voters’ fears about crime, immigration and China.”
The president has already stoked anti-Asian bigotry by referring to the pandemic as the “Chinese virus” -- and now his campaign is using the same tired racial fear mongering by referring to the Democratic nominee as “Beijing Biden.”
