Homes For All UK Joining the People’s Assembly National Demonstration this Saturday June 7th!

As many of you are aware, there is a huge housing crisis in the UK with many struggling (or unable) to get decent, secure and affordable housing. This is having multiple severe impacts. At the same time, we have 1% of the UK population with more wealth than 70% of the rest. We need urgent change in favour of the many rather than the wealthy few - and an end to unchecked profiteering!

One of the Campaigns that will be at the National Demonstration is Homes For All UK. This campaign is a coalition of housing campaigners and trade unions and anyone that wants to fight for safe, secure and affordable homes for all.

Morag Gillie from the campaign writes:

"Millions of people's lives are being blighted as a result of the housing and planning emergency. Substandard housing, rising rents, demolitions and massive private overdevelopments are destroying local communities and causing harm to biodiversity and the environment. The only solution to the housing emergency is for a programme of mass council housing provision.

We urge all to support, promote and attend this really important Demonstration and encourage you to get your organisations, trade unions, friends and family to also do the same.

Please encourage your trade union or organisation to put on transport or contribute towards coach costs in your local area (Many trade unions are supporting the demonstration, so speak to your local branch or region). Loss of our Facebook page. A few months ago, our admins were removed from our Facebook, and we’ve been unable to get back in. We’ve therefore been forced to set up another page called ‘No More Austerity 2.0.’ Please like and follow this new page here ([link removed]) and encourage others to do the same. Our other social media pages remain the same and are under our People’s Assembly name.
