Seaweed Stories is now streaming exclusively on YouTube.

In In honor of International Seaweed Day and World Environment Day, we are delighted to share that Seaweed Stories is now streaming globally on Leonardo DiCaprio's YouTube [[link removed]] channel.

Narrated by Forest Whitaker and presented by Lonely Whale in association with Re:wild, Seaweed Stories is a vibrant, global look at the wonders of seaweed.

The short film directed by Jake Sumner follows a Silicon Valley startup, Sway, creating plastic alternatives from macroalgae, the Shinnecock Kelp Farmers using seaweed to prove their sovereign right to coastal land, and a Korean scientist creating resilient new seaweed species to help us adapt to a warming planet, among others.

To celebrate the film's release, we've launched a new campaign with Sway to hack unboxing culture — spotlighting the challenge of traditional thin-film and the alternatives made with seaweed that are helping us unwrap the future.
