Representation matters. Black candidates matter. Today, I'm proud to add a
few more great men to my slate of endorsed candidates this cycle.
They are candidates whose lived experiences reflect the communities they
serve, and who are committed to working closely with the people in those
communities to bring about transformative change:
Charles Booker, candidate for U.S. Senate in Kentucky
Jaime Harrison, candidate for U.S. Senate in South Carolina
Reverend Raphael Warnock, candidate for U.S. Senate in Georgia
Jamaal Bowman, candidate for Congress, NY-16
Cameron Webb, candidate for Congress, VA-05

Charles Booker is running for Senate to represent the State of Kentucky
and defeat Mitch McConnell. He has spent the last ten years fighting for
the people of Kentucky at all levels of government. Charles can defeat
Mitch McConnell, who has caused so much pain for so many families, and he
will be a leading voice in the Senate on issues of consequence, including
environmental and economic justice.
Jaime Harrison is a bold advocate for progress. He is passionate about
working in close partnership with community to improve access to
healthcare, ensure every young person has a high-quality education, and
help families across South Carolina build wealth and achieve economic
stability. He is running to represent South Carolina in the Senate, and he
will be a transformational leader in Congress.
As a Senior Pastor for fourteen years, Rev. Raphael Warnock is committed
to serving not only his faith community, but every community in Georgia.
He is a strong advocate for increasing access to healthcare and education,
ensuring workers are paid a living wage, and making sure that the voices
of everyday Georgians echo in the halls of the U.S. Senate.
As a 20-year public school educator in New York, Jamaal Bowman knows what
it means to build community and fight for those too often left out and
left behind. In Congress, Jamaal will continue to advance bold solutions —
like fighting to end mass incarceration and working to actualize the
People’s Justice Guarantee. I am proud to endorse Jamaal to represent the
NY-16th in Congress.
Dr. Cameron Webb has dedicated his life to serving others — as a doctor,
as a lawyer, and as an advocate. Now, more than ever, we need
representatives like Cameron, who take science seriously and who are
committed to helping communities respond to and recover from the COVID-19
crisis. I know that Dr. Webb will be a fierce advocate for the people of
Virginia’s 5th District.
In this moment, we cannot turn away from the hurt and the trauma
afflicting so many people across our country, especially those who have
been left out and left behind for too long.
Instead, we must elect representatives who speak directly to that pain and
who will organize, advocate, and legislate to end generations of bigotry,
violence, and deeply-rooted inequity. I know that each one of these five
candidates will do exactly that, and will fight to end systemic injustices
that plague our communities.

movement to continue building our collective power.
Thank you for your support. Together we will continue to organize,
advocate, and legislate for real change.
In solidarity,
Ayanna Pressley
