Time and again, 350PDX has been a powerhouse partner in organizing grassroots resistance against Zenith, mobilizing hundreds of Portlanders to show up, speak out, and fight back. Street Roots plays a pivotal role in holding Zenith Energy and City officials accountable in the press. Journalists there broke the story about the backroom deal between Portland officials and Zenith Energy, and have continued to expose their secretive plans to public scrutiny. In a public hearing earlier this year, Portland City Councilor Mitch Green said that his knowledge about issues related to Zenith came primarily from Street Roots’ incredible reporting.
