Ending coal, oil and gas hasn’t made it onto COP30’s agenda – yet. With your help we can change this. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Tell the President of the world’s biggest climate talks: put ending fossil fuels on the agenda now.

Hi John,

Coal, oil and gas are the biggest drivers of climate change.1 But get this: we've just found out phasing them out isn’t yet on the agenda of this year’s critical climate talks — COP30 in Brazil.2

This decade is crucial for the health of our planet and ourselves. So COP30 can and must be a turning point with a clear plan to fairly end fossil fuels.

Brazil’s President Lula, and COP30 President, André Aranha Corrêa do Lago, have the power to make this happen. They want to be seen as climate leaders, which makes them open to public pressure. That’s where you come in, John.

Will you send them a letter demanding that fossil fuels and a fair switch to renewables be firmly on the agenda?

Last month, Brazil called for the world to come together and fight climate change like never before — and yet, completely skipped the part about fossil fuels.3 Worse, there are rumors that they’ll allow countries to voluntarily commit to phasing them out at COP30.4

None of this is good enough. Especially when rich countries like the United States, Norway, Canada and Australia are ramping up oil production. And Brazil and the UAE are using that as an excuse to drill themselves.

We must hold them accountable. Politicians work for us. That’s why your voice matters; them feeling public pressure is crucial.

COP30 leaders can lead the world in the transition to renewable energy and ending fossil fuels. They have the responsibility to deliver real action, not tiptoe around hard choices.

Let’s make sure they do — for the sake of us, our planet and the next generation.

In solidarity,

Katrina for 350.org
