Please join us in congratulating Workers’ Compensation Judge James Kohl on his upcoming retirement. After an impactful career in public service, Judge Kohl will retire on June 17, 2025.

Judge Kohl has served as a Workers’ Compensation Judge since 2012, bringing decades of experience in litigating and resolving workers’ compensation claims. During his tenure, he has conducted countless evidentiary and special term hearings, settlement conferences, and mediations with professionalism, fairness, and deep subject-matter expertise.
