John,
When I was twelve, my dad died of cancer.
I remember spending every other weekend in hospital waiting rooms -- hoping my dad would get better. It’s heartbreaking to recount, but the truth is that millions go through it every day -- chronic illnesses, fights with insurance companies, and barely holding it together.
So when I hear people like Senator Joni Ernst joke that “we all are going to die” in response to concerns about Medicaid cuts, I don’t just hear cruelty -- I hear the truth about what Republicans really think of families like mine.
This is personal for me, and it's why I’m running for Congress in the community where I was raised.
Our current representative, Young Kim, promised to protect Medicaid, then
turned around and voted to gut it. Just like the rest of them.
We can’t let this continue. We have a shot to flip this seat and help take back the House majority. But I need your help to do it. If you’re with me, chip in $5, $25, or whatever you can today. Let’s do this together.
