** American Documentary Launches Artist Mental Health Fund
------------------------------------------------------------
American Documentary announced the Artist Mental Health Fund to support artists of color working as directors, producers and interactive creators. The fund will provide critical support for the mental health of US-based BIPOC (Black, indigenous, people of color) artists in the independent documentary community. Applications opened June 15 and will close June 20, 2020 at 11:59pm EDT.

POV on PBS received four awards out of six nominations for the 79th Annual Peabody Awards, announced by the Peabody Awards Board of Jurors: The Silence of Others, Inventing Tomorrow, Midnight Traveler and The Distant Barking of Dogs.

On Wednesday, June 10, the team behind And She Could Be Next held a panel on Facebook Live, moderated by Sunny Hostin, co-host of ABC's The View. Among the panelists were the film directors, Marjan Safinia and Grace Lee, executive producer Ava DuVernay, and an impressive lineup of activists, organizers and political leaders to share a conversation about representation, democracy and the undeniable political power of women.
