Palliative Care Doctor Opposes Assisted Suicide Law

Dr. Amy Proffitt, a palliative care doctor, says "The majority, 80% of the people that have assisted death have government insurance with Medicaid or Medicare suggesting that the vulnerable in society are not worth it... Put that into our NHS and what does it say about us as a society... those with disability, those with learning disabilities, those with social deprivation?"

In Memoriam: Stephen Mendelsohn

Connecticut disability advocate and warrior against assisted suicide Stephen Mendelsohn was tragically struck by a car and died Sunday evening. Stephen spent decades and countless hours working to defeat measures to legalize assisted suicide in Connecticut and was a consummate researcher assisting other states. The Patients’ Rights Action Fund grieves this tremendous loss. Rest in eternal peace, dear Stephen.

Canada's Euthanasia Regime is Cruel

Wesley Smith, author and senior fellow at the Discovery Institute’s Center on Human Exceptionalism, states, "Euthanasia is awful 'medicine' and even worse public policy. It exposes the most vulnerable among us to abandonment and death. It pretends to be kind. It claims to be compassionate. But in the end, it justifies the most callous cruelty."
