Donald Trump’s disastrous budget plan is a full-scale attack on working families in California and across the country, and it’s moving quickly through Congress.
We still have time to stop this bill, but only if we raise our voices together. Sign our petition demanding that the Senate reject this dangerous budget plan.
Trump’s so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill” is an ugly attack on safety net programs, including more than $700 billion from Medicare and Medicaid, kicking more than 10 million people off their health insurance nationwide, and more than $300 billion from SNAP. Children will go hungry, and families won’t have access to life-saving medical care if this bill becomes law.
And that’s just the beginning. There would be huge cuts to investments in renewable energy, reforms that make college even more unaffordable for working families, and increased funding for Trump’s mass deportations – all to pay for tax cuts for his millionaire and billionaire buddies.
Despite what they’re calling it, there is nothing “beautiful” about ripping health care and food assistance away from people who need it the most. We can’t afford to have so much of our progress wiped out with one piece of legislation.
