John,
Elon Musk says he’s walking away from the Trump administration—but after the catastrophic damage he’s caused, we’re not letting him slip out quietly.
Whether Elon is actually leaving or not one thing is clear: we’re forever going to hold Elon accountable for all the harm that he’s caused.
Add your name to tell Elon Musk goodbye, good riddance, and that we’ll be holding him accountable.
From day one, Musk’s involvement was a disaster waiting to happen. His dangerous experiment—disguised as the "Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)"—turned out to be exactly what we expected: reckless, harmful, and rooted in ignorance.
From day one DOGE and Musk have been f*cking up. Just take a look:
From a WIRED.com article
And that was just the beginning. Here’s the devastating impact Musk leaves behind:
-
Arbitrary firings of dedicated federal workers, leaving agencies understaffed and chaotic.
-
Millions wasted, including $135 billion in taxpayer money, as his careless cuts backfired spectacularly.
-
An estimated 300,000 deaths, mostly children, with significantly more to come by the end of the year via cuts to U.S.A.I.D. grants
-
Critical agencies and services disrupted, putting everyday Americans at risk, with everything from consumer safety to environmental protections affected.
Only a privileged white billionaire like Elon Musk would be allowed to take a wrecking ball to the government and walk away unscathed.
Elon shouldn’t have even been ABLE to make the decisions that he did. Musk was never qualified for this power. He bought his way in with money and male white privilege alone.
And now he is seemingly about to walk away, leaving us to deal with the consequences.
We know how this goes, John, Black and brown poor folks will bear the brunt of the cuts to the government.
F*ck that.
Sign our card saying boy, BYE to Elon and good riddance. He may try to leave the government with clean hands but we’re not going to forget the destruction that he caused. And we’re going to hold him accountable no matter what he does next.
In solidarity,
Black Lives Matter
Our grassroots movement is pushing for Black liberation every single day. We are striving to create a world where Black people do so much more than just survive. It’s time we thrive.
As an organization one of our biggest hurdles is consistency.
A recurring contribution of anything you can afford goes a long way as we plan for the months, years, and even decades ahead. This is the most effective way for small-dollar donors (like you) to power our Black liberation work.
Will you make a recurring contribution of $5 or more today so that we can keep building momentum for our movement?

Black Lives Matter imagines a world where Black people across the diaspora thrive, experience joy, and are not defined by their struggles.
In pursuing liberation, we envision a future fully divested from police, prisons, and all punishment paradigms and which invests in justice, joy, and culture. Email is the most important way we keep in touch with our supporters. But we know there's a lot going on.
