Two weeks ago, the House Republicans passed their budget reconciliation bill, which includes a $5.5 trillion tax giveaway.
This will give the richest Americans and greediest corporations obscene tax breaks — and it’ll be paid for by slashing Medicaid, food assistance, and essential services for millions of working families.
This is a full-on assault on economic justice.

Here’s what’s in this scam:
- An average $90,000 tax cut for millionaires
- $800 million in annual breaks for the top 400 richest Americans
- $75 billion to mega-corporations like Amazon, Apple, and Tesla
- Just $40 – $50 annually (maybe) for working families
- Over $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid and SNAP
And Republicans plan to pay for it by taking food off tables and ripping away healthcare from seniors, kids, and people with disabilities.
While the uber-rich continue to grow their fortunes, working families across the countries are struggling to afford housing, groceries, and child care. This bill does nothing to help them — it simply lines the pockets of the already wealthy and doubles down on the same failed trickle-down scam we’ve seen for decades.
