June is Pride Month, so on Sunday Alexandria marched in the New Queens Pride Parade & Multicultural Festival — the second-oldest and second-largest pride parade in New York City — which runs right through her district.

Now more than ever, when so many people in this country don’t know who they are safe with, one of the most powerful things we can do is speak up.

When we do, we show that there are people in this world who have not given up.
