John
Not every young Virginian needs a four-year degree to succeed. In fact, many of the best-paying and most in-demand jobs require something else entirely—real-world, hands-on skills.
That’s why I’ve long supported expanding career and technical education (CTE) across Virginia. We need more opportunities for students to learn trades like welding, HVAC, automotive repair, and healthcare—all while graduating with less debt and more job prospects.
By investing in workforce development, we strengthen families, grow our economy, and give the next generation the tools they need to succeed. This isn’t just smart policy—it’s common sense.

I’ll continue working to prioritize skills-based education and empower the next generation of Virginia’s workers.
Sincerely,
