John, a poll on the NY-16th primary election was just released:
Here’s the good news: Jamaal is currently beating Eliot Engel by 10 points. It is clear that he has a really great shot at defeating Engel in six days.
But here’s the challenge: 27% of voters are currently undecided. We’ve seen how these primary elections can come down to just a handful of votes.
So we have to fight like Jamaal is 10 points behind, because we know that the corporate wing of the Democratic Party is lining up to stop our movement. Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi just endorsed Engel.
Jamaal defeating Eliot Engel on Tuesday would send an unmistakable message to the political establishment that our fight to transform the Democratic Party from the inside out is powerful and strong.
We’ve got to give this election everything we’ve got and the results could come down to whether Jamaal has the resources to reach the undecided voters in the district.
Thank you for powering our movement,
