Team, right now the Senate is considering Donald Trump’s dangerous “big, beautiful” budget – which slashes over $1.5 trillion in vital spending for people in need, just to hand billionaires more tax breaks.
Here’s what’s on the chopping block if this bill passes the Senate:
GUTS nearly $1 TRILLION from Medicaid, SNAP, the Affordable Care Act.
RIPS away health care from nearly 14 million people.
CUTS SNAP, the nation’s most important and effective anti-hunger program, by roughly 30 percent – the largest cut in history.
ELIMINATES $350 billion in funding for higher education access and affordability – including federal Pell grants.
ADDS about $3.8 trillion to the federal government's debt over the next decade.
No wonder even some Republicans are sounding the alarm.Elon Musk called the bill a “disgusting abomination”!
Meanwhile, Democratic governors across the country are building budgets that protect and enshrine our fundamental rights and freedoms:
Gov. JB Pritzker just passed a budget with a $175 million increase for the Child Care Assistance Program to support 150,000 children.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer just proposed a state budget which allocates $4.9 billion to fix the damn roads.
Gov. Bob Ferguson just signed a budget boosting funding by more than $1 billion for public schools.
Gov. Josh Shapiro just unveiled a state budget which allocates $526 million more to public education in Pennsylvania.
Gov. Laura Kelly just crafted her state’s budget, which would expand Medicaid eligibility for 150,000 lower-income Kansans.
It’s clear: Donald Trump is fighting for billionaires. Democratic governors are fighting for working families.
With the Senate already debating Trump’s bill as we speak, we need to know where you stand before midnight.
Confirm for us now:
