Thank you to Anthony Fadale for forwarding this information to us from the Kansas Department for Children and Families.   Goodland Service Center closing permanently The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) Goodland Service Center is closing, but support is still available in-person and online to Kansans near the Sherman County area.  Kansans will have easy access to in-person services both at the Goodland library on Wednesdays and any other day of the work week at the Colby Service Center.  The *Goodland Public Library DCF* satellite location, 812 Broadway Ave., Goodland, will be open on *Wednesdays* from *9 a.m. to 3 p.m.* (closed 1 to 1:30 p.m.). At the library, visitors can expect to receive one-on-one personal and private assistance from a qualified DCF employee. They may: • Drop off and process paperwork  • Complete assistance interviews • Find answers to important questions The Goodland Service Center closed to visitors on June 2 at 5 p.m. The agency will vacate the property by June 30. Signs are posted on the doors providing visitors the alternate options to receive in-person and online support.  Kansans, no matter their location, have 24-hour access to the DCF’s Self-Service Portal on www.dcf.ks.gov [ [link removed] ] under *Apply for Services* and may also call one of the agency’s toll-free customer service lines [ [link removed] ] 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
