Every veteran deserves more than just our gratitude — they deserve a safe place to call home. That’s why I’m pushing for a $350 million grant for the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Grant Per Diem (GPD) Program.
The GPD Program helps to fund community agencies across the country that provide transitional housing to Veterans who are experiencing homelessness. This funding would expand options for Veterans and help to provide the support and services they need to get back on their feet. This program works. It helps Veterans to not just find shelter, but stability, dignity, and a chance to thrive.
