John,We’re now just two weeks out from Georgia’s upcoming election — and while it might not be grabbing national headlines, the impact on everyday life here in the Peach State could be significant.
On the ballot is a Special Primary Election for Georgia’s Public Service Commission. If you’re not familiar, this Commission plays a BIG ROLE in setting utility rates across the state — meaning the outcome of this race could directly affect how much Georgians pay for electricity and other essential services.
Right now, Georgia Republicans in Washington — including Buddy Carter — are moving forward with proposals that would cut core programs like Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security.
At the same time, Trump’s tariffs have led to rising prices for everyday goods, adding pressure to already tight household budgets.
With household costs rising, this election is an important opportunity for Georgians to weigh in on who’s making decisions that impact their monthly bills.
