I just want to take a moment to say thank you.

A few weeks ago, I sent an email asking you to add your name to denounce the GOP’s anti-voter SAVE Act.

If you need a reminder, the SAVE Act is an attack on the foundation of our democracy. It would make it nearly impossible for millions of Americans to participate in our elections — including married women, servicemembers, veterans, and simply anyone trying to register to vote online or by mail.

Well, the response from that email has been inspiring. Hundreds of folks responded, from California and every corner of the country.

There’s a reason why Senate Republicans haven’t passed this bill yet. It’s because folks like you, are continuing to raise your voices against their agenda.

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for speaking out. Thank you for fighting back.

Now as we begin June, we cannot let our guard down in our fight to defend the right to vote. Just days ago, Senate Republicans attempted to jam through the SAVE Act. They hoped nobody would call them out.

I did.

When I heard what they were attempting to do, I immediately went to the Senate floor to block it. I will continue leading in the Senate to STOP this voter suppression effort.

I’m hoping even more folks can continue putting pressure on the GOP and making their voices heard today.
