Marjorie Taylor Greene confesses she now "agrees" with Elon, admits she did not read "big, beautiful bill" she voted for
Like most other Republicans, Marjorie Taylor Greene is now in the uncomfortable position of having voted for something she definitely did not read and contains an avalanche of incredibly unpopular things — specifically, the absolutely insane provision that bans ANY regulation of AI technologies for 10 years. "I think that’s pretty terrifying. We don't know what AI is going to be capable of within one year, we don't know what it will be capable of in five years, let alone 10 years," Greene rightly admitted. Yes! Might've been helpful to, ya know, come to that conclusion BEFORE voting for that "big, beautiful bill!"

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Elon turns on Republicans' "disgusting abomination" in surprise move
It appears Elon is going through yet another divorce, this time with the MAGA cult leader, as he VERY publicly denounced Donald Trump's catastrophic budget bill as a "disgusting abomination" that was "massive, outrageous," and "pork-filled" and would "massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit," all of which are objectively true statements. Having already gotten everything he wanted from the White House — an end to all the investigations into his companies, several more billion dollars in federal contracts, access to the sensitive data of every American, the termination of the agency that helped work to tear down his beloved apartheid in South Africa — Elon clearly feels like he is now free to break with the Trump regime and the GOP. "In November next year, we fire all politicians who betrayed the American people," said Elon. Of course, there's also the possibility that he's just locked in the ketamine-induced transitive dissociative state known as a "K-hole" and he'll be back to cheerleading Donald next week.

Iowa mechanic fights to put a spine back in the Senate
Nathan Sage The GOP Senate’s utter refusal to do ANYTHING to stop Trump from trampling our rights and the rule of law makes it clear we need to put a spine back in Washington. That’s why mechanic, marine veteran, and local Iowa sports host Nathan Sage is launching a bid to unseat Trump-enabler Joni Ernst, fight for the needs of working-class Americans, and be the xxxxxx against the tides of fascism unleashed by Trump and his cronies. Will you chip in to help jump-start his campaign? A new poll has him leading by two points, 47-45!

Education Secretary Linda McMahon struggles with basic math when trying to add up proposed budget cuts
Folks, settle down. During her Senate confirmation hearing, WWE executive Linda McMahon clearly stated she merely had a "lifelong interest" in education. She never said she actually knew anything about it, nor has she ever shown she has the acumen or qualifications to lead the frickin' Dept. of Education. Also, math is really hard when it's, like, kinda abstract and you don't give a shit about the millions of lives you will negatively impact when you make terrible decisions and things go horribly awry. Maybe she just needs to get "tombstoned" again so she can start thinking clearly?

Trump whines Chinese President Xi Is "EXTREMELY HARD TO MAKE A DEAL WITH"
The MAGA cult leader, who just won't stop taking his trusty checkers to geopolitical chess matches, unilaterally started an incredibly short-sighted, economy-upending trade war with China and is furious — FURIOUS — that Xi Jinping is apparently in no mode to simply roll over and give him everything he wants. In the infamous annals of F*ck Around, Find Out, Donald is making quite the name for himself.

Pete Hegseth orders Navy to rename ship named after gay rights hero Harvey Milk
DUI hire Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has decided to commemorate Pride Month by...renaming the replenishment oiler previously named for gay civil rights icon Harvey Milk. Hegseth claims he wants to "restore warrior culture" to the Pentagon by renaming the USS Harvey Milk, but he is actually trying to erase the memory of the gay men and women who served this country — and the painful reminders of the way they have been historically treated, like how Harvey Milk was forced to accept an "other than honorable" discharge from the Navy or face court-martial for his sexuality. If anyone deserves a dishonorable discharge, it's Hegseth.
Steve Bannon unloads on "troublemaker" Lindsey Graham: "He should be arrested"
Steven Bannon shredded Sen. Lindsey Graham on Tuesday, going so far as to say that Donald Trump should have the senator arrested. Graham visited Kyiv over the weekend and reiterated his support for Ukraine amid Russia’s ongoing war on the country. While there, he called for the US to sanction Russia. "He’s over there stirring it up. This is why I say he should be arrested," Bannon, a convicted felon, said. "Either cut his passport off so he can never come back to the country, or arrest him. He’s a troublemaker, and this now, he’s egging the deep state on and misleading the Ukrainian people that we're all in on this. Ukrainian people, particularly I know the folks that watch this show and do clips in the Kyiv Post, that’s over us every day, understand the American people don't support this, and we're not gonna be there. We want to cut all the money off."
Trump regime pushes for increased detentions, including "collateral" arrests and tactics at "push the envelope"
After a tongue-lashing from resident White House vampire Steven Miller, top immigration officials have ordered their jackbooted agents to "turn the creative knob up to 11" (this means break the law) and "push the envelope" (this also means break the law) when it comes to rounding up and disappearing suspected undocumented immigrants. "If it involves handcuffs on wrists, it’s probably worth pursuing," said one message from higher-ups. Among the new directives is to increase "collateral arrests," meaning arresting anyone they think might be undocumented while serving warrants to arrest undocumented people. It's the carceral state sent into overdrive, and there need to be serious repercussions for everyone involved after this fascistic nightmare is all over.
New federal employees must now write essays praising Trump's policies
Definitely nothing culty or fascistic about this incredibly problematic new policy, nope. When are we going to change the words in the Pledge of Allegiance and declare our loyalty to "one nation under Trump?"
New Pentagon press secretary an outspoken critic of Ukraine and the State Department, espouses Great Replacement white supremacist conspiracy
Kingsley Wilson, the daughter of right-wing talking head Steve Cortes, has just been given the Pentagon's top comms job. It will come as no surprise to learn she is a certified crank who has openly pushed neo-Nazi, antisemitic conspiracy theories, and has been an enthusiastic cheerleader of Russia's Vladimir Putin. It really feels like the only thing this administration can do competently is appoint the worst person possible for any given position.
