If passed as is, this budget will be a gut punch to hardworking families. Slashing vital services – the very things that keep our communities afloat – is unconscionable. It prioritizes billions for defense contractors and billionaires, while tearing families apart and leaving them, seniors and our neighbors struggling to afford groceries and facing the impacts of climate change with fewer resources. Clean water, climate resilience – all sacrificed so the wealthy can get wealthier. We need a budget that protects our families, not the pockets of the privileged.
