The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) just announced it is upgrading its Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program — and partnering with the Social Security Administration — to give election officials a single, reliable source to verify U.S. citizenship.

That means state and local officials can now use verified Social Security data to stop foreign nationals from registering to vote.
