John,
At Amazon warehouses across the country, injuries aren’t rare — they’re routine.
Every day, Amazon workers are pushed beyond their limits to meet the company's impossible quotas. Every day, someone gets hurt. And every day, Amazon shrugs it off as the "cost of doing business."
The U.S. Senate just confirmed what workers have said for years: Amazon’s warehouse injury rate is more than 30% higher than the industry average. The company raked in $36 billion in profit last year — and instead of fixing the problem, they’ve ignored it.
But workers aren’t staying silent. They’re organizing. They’re walking out. And they’re putting their demands in writing. They've drafted the Safety Bill of Rights — and they're not backing down.
Amazon Labor Union-IBT Local 1 wrote the Safety Bill of Rights and laid out their clear, urgent demands:
✔ Safer working conditions
✔ Protections from retaliation
✔ The right to speak up and organize without fear
✔ Dignity and respect on the job
Amazon leadership must make a choice: recognize the Safety Bill of Rights or face escalating action.
We need to stand with the workers who move millions of packages each day. We cannot continue to let one of the richest corporations on Earth continue treating people like they’re disposable.
Will you add your name now to support the Safety Bill of Rights and demand accountability from Amazon?
This isn’t just a labor fight — it’s a human rights fight. And it’s only just beginning. Let's take action today.
Thank you,
— Democratic Values
