Medicaid provides critical healthcare coverage to more than 72 million Americans. These Medicaid enrollees are your neighbors and friends including people with disabilities, seniors, veterans and more than 30 million children. 

More than 12 million Medicaid enrollees live in rural areas. In some cases these rural communities already have limited access to care, Medicaid cuts would only make this access to care for rural Americans worse.
