Dear John,

I hate asking for money, but we really need your help.

June 30 (two weeks away) is our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline. Everyone in Washington will be scrutinizing our numbers and whether we meet our goals.

Our numbers for this quarter will determine how much support Congressman Sanford Bishop will receive from high-profile figures and political groups -- in short, we’re under the microscope.

I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t so crucial. John, will you contribute to Congressman Bishop’s reelection fund?

Congressman Bishop is facing unprecedented opposition in his campaign for reelection. High-dollar donors are pouring in money to defeat him, and we need to fight back.

But according to our records, we’re not quite on track to meet our goal. We need 127 more people to chip in $50 if we’re going to meet our goal by the end of the month.

Let me remind you what we’re fighting for: Congressman Bishop has a decades-long track record of advocating for civil rights, health care, rural communities, and bipartisan cooperation. We would be devastated if he had to stop this important work.

If you want to keep Congressman Bishop running for reelection, will you make a donation?

We are so grateful for your support. In warmth and gratitude,

Brent
